Dee Elaine Norris
February 27, 1942 - June 3, 2020



Dee Elaine Norris, age 78 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, passed away peacefully at her home Wednesday June 3, 2020 after a lengthy illness. She lived a wonderful and blessed life, full of love and joy. She was born February 27, 1942 in Denham Springs and later as a young woman moved to Colorado, where she raised her children. Dee returned to Louisiana in 1993, where she met the love of her life Joe Norris. They were married in 1996 and shared 24 wonderful years together at Laurel Oaks Farm in Mt. Hermon. Dee had worked for several years at the Boulder, Colorado Medical Center. She loved working on her farm, taking care of all the animals and tending to the daily chores. Dee loved riding her lawnmower and we expect her to continue mowing God’s yard too.

Survived by: Husband: Joe Norris of Mt. Hermon; Her Children: Tray Shehee of Mead, Colorado, Stephanie Young of Orlando, Florida, Benji Norris of Denham Springs, Joe Joe Norris of Kentwood, Kellye N. Graff of Alexandria; Grandchildren: T.J., Timbre, Cheyenne, Cassie Jo, Joshua, Justin, Jordan; Also numerous nieces, nephews and friends

She was preceded in death by her daughter Daphne Shehee, two infant daughters, her parents William Bostwick and Ophelia Thomas Bostwick, sister Mary Bourg, brothers Leo Bostwick, Ray Bostwick and E.W. Bostwick.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Norris Cemetery at Laurel Oaks Farm near her home on Sunday June 7th with Rev. Stan Statham and Rev. Tony Hicks officiating.
