Kenneth Huey Strahan
September 4, 1955 - June 26, 2020



Kenneth Huey Strahan, age 64 and a lifelong resident of Franklinton, died Friday evening June 26, 2020 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans after a lengthy illness. He was born on September 4, 1955 and graduated from Bowling Green School in 1973. Kenneth then obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from Southeastern Louisiana University. He was a dedicated employee of Magee Financial for over 30 years. Kenneth loved the Lord and was a longtime member of First Baptist Church of Franklinton, where he ran the church sound board for services and special occasions for many years. He loved music and enjoyed playing the guitar. Those closest to him knew of his quick wit and humor, but also his love of classic cars. He had many different cars through the years, including several Chevrolet Corvettes, which were his favorite. He will be forever remembered for the love he had for his family and the loyalty shown to his friends.

Hermon, Steve and Lisa Brooks of Madisonville; Nephews: Drew Brooks and Sara Blair, Dusty Brooks; Nieces: Wendy Brooks and Mitch Smith, Amanda B. Stevens and Dustin Stevens, Haylee Brooks; Step-Brother: Mark and Sherron Riley; Step-Sisters: Karen and Dr. Eric Payne, Kim Barber; Cousins: Donzil Sumrall, John Larry Sumrall, Allan Sumrall, Mike Sumrall, Jim Sumrall, Johnny Crowe; Special Friends and Car Buddies: Mike Burris, Glenn Blackwelder, Ed Strahan, Al Branch, Danny Knight, Joey Knight, Robert McGehee, Kendall Parker

He was preceded in death by his father Osbon Strahan, mother and step-father Mae Sumrall Strahan Riley and Donnie Riley, brother Bruce Strahan, father in law Ed Brooks.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday June 30th from 11:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 Tuesday with Dr. Cody Warren officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery
