Washington Parish Woman Arrested on Mississippi Warrant

Ashlea Hobgood, age 30 and a resident of Ester Breland Road in Washington Parish, was arrested on
Monday (May 18, 2020) by Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office Sergeant David Cupp. After being made aware of an outstanding Marion County warrant, Sgt. Cupp went to a residence on Luke Pace Road, located Hobgood, and arrested her. She was transported to the Washington Parish Jail where she will remain until extradited to Mississippi.

This is not Hobgood’s first stay in the Washington Parish Jail. She was arrested in 2011 for possession of stolen property and again in 2013 for introduction of contraband into a correctional facility. In 2018, she was arrested for possession of illegal drugs and possession of drug paraphernalia.

“As I’ve stated before, we are always glad to assist our law enforcement partners in Marion County,” said Sheriff Randy Seal. “They are always willing to help us and we are always willing to help them. Such partnerships help to make law enforcement effective.”
