Rita C. Anderson passed away at her residence in Franklinton, LA on Thursday, May 7, 2020 at the age of 91. She was born in New Orleans, LA on April 13, 1929.

She is survived by her daughters, JoAnn (John) Lollar of Franklinton, LA and Rita Carlyle of Grifton, N.C.; her brother, Sam Clesi of Metairie, LA; and daughter-in-law, Janice Matthews of Columbus, MS; her grandchildren, Regina Taylor of N.C., Gary Dow of N.C., Baily (Blake) Brown of St. Amant, LA, Kelly Matthews (Jason Lawrence) of Kingwood, TX; and two great grandchildren, Makenzie Lawrence and Bryson Brown.

She was preceded in death by her son, John D. Matthews and her parents, Salvador and Macheal Clesi.

Services will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church on Monday, May 11, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate. Interment to follow at Sheridan Cemetery.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home.
