Hugh Bridges Lindsey

Hugh Bridges Lindsey, age 88 and a resident of Franklinton, died Tuesday morning May 5, 2020 at his home. He was a native of Simpson County, Mississippi born July 16, 1931 that later became a veteran of the United States Army. Hugh worked for Florida Gas Transmission, Co. for 33 years, first as an equipment operator before concluding his career as a Supervisor. He was a member of Hillcrest Baptist Church and also an avid sports fan. Hugh loved going camping and taking the RV on trips, especially his favorite Branson, Missouri. He enjoyed gardening and spending time with his beloved family and grandchildren. Hugh was known to have a quick wit and joyful personality that will be missed by all that knew him.
Survived by: Wife of 32 years: Robbie Crowe Lindsey of Franklinton; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Hugh Gregory “Greg” and Tammy Lindsey of Denham Springs, Steven Ocie Adcox and Leanne Adcox of Franklinton; 3 Grandchildren: Maci D’Shay Lindsey of Nashville, TN, Chase Gregory Lindsey of New York, Steven Blake Adcox of Baton Rouge; Brother: P.J. Lindsey of Laurel, MS; Sister in law: Mary Walters Crowe of Harrison, AR; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents Willie Lindsey and Angie Bridges Lindsey, brothers Robert Lindsey, Shelby Lindsey, Luther Lindsey, Bill Lindsey, Rankin Lindsey, sisters Mary Martin, Jewell Lindsey, first wife and mother of his son Nancy Williams Lindsey and other family members.
A graveside funeral service will be held in the Crowe Family Cemetery at 10:00 am Thursday May 7th with Dr. Gene Richards and Rev. Tommy Smith officiating.
