Genevieve LeNormand Brown
August 30, 1925 - May 12, 2020

Genevieve LeNormand Brown, age 94 and a resident of Franklinton, died early Tuesday afternoon May 12, 2020 at the Lakeview Regional Medical Center. She was born in New Orleans on August 30, 1925 and has been a resident of Washington Parish since 1982. Genevieve was married to the late John Malcolm “Mack” Brown and was a lifelong member of the Catholic faith. She was an excellent hostess and always loved entertaining her family and friends for social gatherings and meals, as she was also an outstanding cook. Genevieve enjoyed fishing and often took her sons on trips to different fishing holes throughout the area. She also enjoyed shopping and spending time with her family.

Survived by: Son: Danny M. Brown of Bush; 3 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Chris Brown, Jenny Brown, Misty and Jason Spiers; 7 Great-grandchildren; And several nieces and nephews

She was also preceded in death by her son John Alton Brown, parents John A. LeNormand, Sr. and Rita Legnon LeNormand, brothers Charles LeNormand, John A. LeNormand, Jr. and daughter in law Donna Brown.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday May 15th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Friday with Father Kyle Sanders officiating. Entombment, alongside her husband, will be in the Westlawn Memorial Park Mausoleum in Gretna, LA at 11:00 am Monday May 18th.
