Olivia "Ann" Magee Cuffee'
September 29, 1955 - May 10, 2020



I have fought a good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.  Finally, there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on the Day, not to me only, but also to all who have loved his Appearing. 2nd Timothy 4:7-8

Olivia “Ann” Magee Cuffee’ left this earthly place early Mothers Day morning Sunday, May 10, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington, LA.

Olivia was born September 29, 1955, to Woody P. Magee Sr., and Gladys Chappell Magee of Franklinton, LA. She was the eldest of three children.

She completed confirmation and accepted Christ at Winan United Methodist Church in Franklinton, LA under the leadership of Rev. William Jones.

She graduated from Franklinton High School, Class of 1973. After graduating from High School, she worked at Bellsouth in Bogalusa, LA for several years. Before relocating to Los Angeles, CA, she married the late Litdell Burkhalter, Sr.  To this union five children were born. Later in life she received her Special Education degree from Southern Baptist College in Shreveport, LA. Ann’s passion was for children. She was employed as a Special Education teacher with the Washington Parish School System for several years. She also taught at Options Northshore in St. Tammany Parish for several years.

On April 22, 1988, Ann married Prentice Cuffee’ from New Orleans, LA where he inherited five children.  Ann enjoyed shopping at Wal-Mart, talking on the phone, and spending time with family and friends.

She leaves to cherish her memories her husband of 32 years Prentice Cuffee’ Franklinton, LA; four daughters: Ashantia Burkhalter-Anderson (Jeff), Franklinton, LA, LaShun Burkhalter-Martin (Michael), Franklinton, LA, Tammika Burkhalter of New Orleans, LA and Jessica Burkhalter of Franklinton, LA; one son, Litdell Burkhalter, Jr. of Polkton, NC; seven grandchildren: DeMontez’ Burkhalter-Martin, Olivia Burkhalter, Shaquille Burkhalter, Deja Martin, Edward Bunch, Jr., Michael Martin, Jr. and Olivia Martin; Brother and Sister-in-law: Corneilus (Erlene) Comeaux of Kent, WA; two sisters: Wilestine Matthews of Lafayette, LA, and Patricia Ann (Stanley) Matthews New Orleans, LA; one God child, Lynette Magee.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Woody P. Magee, Sr. and Gladys C. Magee; grandparents, Leander and Jessie Bell Chappell; one brother, Woody P. Magee, Jr. and a sister, and a sister-in-law, Gwendolyn Magee, several Aunts and Uncles.

A graveside service will be held on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at Winan Cemetery.
