Junnie Audrey Thomas
September 25, 1930 - April 30, 2020



Junnie Audrey Thomas, age 89 and a resident of Thomas, died Thursday night April 30, 2020 at her home. She worked at the Washington Parish Health Unit for 35 years, many of those years as the supervisor of both the Franklinton and Bogalusa offices. Audrey was a member of Stateline United Pentecostal Church. She loved traveling and often arranged bus trips for people, which she always said allowed them to leave all their troubles behind. Audrey had been on an Alaskan cruise and visited Washington, D.C. and many other areas of the country. She liked working around her house, always keeping busy. She lived a good happy life and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren.

Survived by: 2 Daughters and a Son in law: Tita Taylor of Tylertown, Gwendolyn and Marvin Jones of Thomas; 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Craig and Peggy Wilkins, Chuck and Rachel Thomas all of Thomas; 14 Grandchildren and Spouses: Kristie Montgomery, Kellie Taylor, Rev. Brandon and Mallory Wilkins, Davana and Adam Robedee, Constance Bryant, Camela Jones, Gloria and Vic Tusa, Shelen and Ricky Baughman, Marlina and Trey Keele, Dillon and Mallory Thomas, Jacob and Meaghan Thomas, Scarlet Thomas, Audrey Thomas, Drew Thomas; 21 Great-grandchildren and 1 Great-great-grandchild; Sister: Saralyn Spears of Franklinton; Also numerous sisters in law, nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her husband Louchildre “Pete” Thomas, parents Otto and Ara Dillon and sister Laverne Burch.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Thomas Cemetery at 2:00 pm Sunday May 3rd with Rev. Brandon Wilkins, Rev. W.L. Tullos and Rev. Jerry Cox officiating.
