Mrs. Ruth Lumpkin Bennett, age 94, passed into the arms of her Savior and Redeemer, Jesus Christ on May 14, 2020. A private graveside service will be celebrated by her family. Memorial service to honor Mrs. Bennett will be held at a date to be announced.
Mrs. Bennett was preceded in death by her parents, W.B. Lumpkin, Sr. and Louise Williams Lumpkin, Her husband Lester Bennett, her granddaughter Megan Marie Mizell, her sisters, Artie Mae Lumpkin Sandifer, Rosamond Lumpkin Amacker, Genelia Lumpkin Stewart, Rebecca Nell Lumpkin Crain, her brother W. B. Lumpkin, Jr.
She is survived by her brother Paul Lumpkin, son David Lester Bennett, two daughters Diane Bennett Mizell (Larry), Janice Bennett Walters, her three grandsons, Chad Walters (Hilary), Lane Bennett (Chryssy), D’Lea Mizell Hollandsworth (Spence), and nine great grandchildren, Lily and Quinn Walters, Torres and Jude Bennett, Rylee and Chord Mizell. Cooper, Kensley and Cason Hollandsworth.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home and are incomplete at this time.
