Gail Delores Thompson
October 07, 1949 - April 18, 2020



Gail Delores Thompson was born October 7, 1949 to Elisha Davis, Sr. and Ernestine Bell Davis. She was a native of Franklinton, LA. She joined Bethel Church of Christ Holiness and was baptized at an early age.  She was a graduate of Carver High School, New Orleans, LA. She later relocated to Beaumont, Texas where she was a member of Christ Mission Temple Church of Christ Holiness USA.

She was married to Elder Arthur L. Thompson and to this union three children were born, LaTroy Thompson, Toya Davis, and Imana Thompson.

She worked at Regina Coeli Child Development Center Franklinton Head Start until her early retirement due to illness.

She leaves to cherish her memories her devoted husband, Elder Arthur L. Thompson, three loving daughters, LaTroy Thompson, Toya Davis(Luke), Imana Thompson, stepdaughter Lequisha Thompson and one stepson Garrious Barker all of whom she loved dearly. Five grandchildren. One aunt, Georgia Q. McCant of Hanford, California; 2 sisters-in-law, Nicy Davis and Shirley Ann Davis, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by her father, mother, 9 brothers, and 3 sisters.

Gail Thompson was a loving mother and wife who enjoyed spending time with her immediate and extended family. She had a quiet but welcoming spirit that imprinted on everyone she encountered. She was creative, very active in church, and loved cooking for her loved ones.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the concern of the safety and welfare of others, there will be no service at this time. A celebration of her life will be held at a later date.
