Florence Elizabeth Sanders Loftice
September 22, 1952 - April 17, 2020



Florence Elizabeth Sanders Loftice, age 67 and a resident of Franklinton, died Friday April 17, 2020 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. She was a longtime Licensed Practical Nurse at Good Samaritan Living Center and had previously worked at Jenkins Lumber Company for many years. Florence was a lifelong resident of Washington Parish and a member of Shiloh Church of Christ. She loved tending her flowers and always enjoyed traveling. Florence loved to visit the mountains any chance that she could. She was a loving wife and mother that cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and family.

Survived by: Husband of 23 years: Daniel “Danny” Loftice of Franklinton; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Richard Holden of Amite, Russell and Ashley Holden of Midland, TX; 3 Daughters and Sons in law: Frances and Van Varnado, Dana and Chuck Devall all of Franklinton, Dena and Jerry Ketchum of Amite; 13 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Ashley Varnado King and Carley King, Dalton Holden, Victoria Holden, Tyler Holden, Cole Holden, Jack Holden, Ruston Holden, Branson Holden, Jacob Devall, Bridget Devall, Bailey Devall, Tristen Ketchum, Morgan Ketchum; 2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Walter Lynn and Cheryl Sanders of Hempstead, NC, David Russell Sanders of Hobbs, NM; Sister in law: Donna B. Sanders of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents Albert Leo Sanders and Ayleen Yates Sanders, brother Albert Daniel “Danny” Sanders, grandson Brody Devall, sisters in law Wanda Madden, Mattie McReynolds.

A graveside funeral service will be held in the Sharp Cemetery on Hwy. 16 near the Washington/Tangipahoa Parish line at 11:00 am Tuesday with Rev. Don McGee officiating.
