WPSO: Arrest Made in Ja'Quarrius Taylor Murder

This afternoon (March 9, 2020), the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested Joandre Dawson (20), a resident of Highway 21 in Angie, Louisiana, and charged him with the January 12th murder of Ja’Quarrius Taylor. The arrest was the result of several weeks of intensive investigation by the detective division of the Sheriff’s Office.

Joandre Dawson is a cousin of Ja’Quarrius Taylor. Dawson will be transferred to the Washington Parish Jail later today and booked on a charge of 2nd Degree Murder.

Sheriff Randy Seal commented. “This arrest is the result of a non-stop investigation by our detective division. Not a day went by when they were not focusing on this case. I am so pleased with their hard work to identify the killer and make the arrest. The matter is now in the hands of the District Attorney and I am confident he will do what should be done.”
