Lucille Barber McNeese
April 10, 1946 - March 7, 2020



Lucille Barber McNeese, age 73 and a resident of Loranger, died Saturday afternoon March 7, 2020 at North Oaks Medical Center. She loved shopping and going to the movies each week with her husband. Lucille also enjoyed getting her nails done and visiting with her family and friends. Years ago, she worked at Hammond Strawberry Fields, an agency that serves adults with developmental disabilities.

Survived by: Husband: Wilton McNeese of Loranger; Son and Daughter in law: Joey Otto Leonard and Victoria Leonard of Loranger; Grandchildren and Spouses: Joseph Leonard, Raymond and Jamie McClendon, Christopher and Amanda Leonard, Nicholas Mansfield, Meagan Elkins; Great-grandchildren: Addie Prokop, Destiny McClendon, Riley McClendon, Kennedi Crowe, Bentley Elkins; Sister: Mattie Rowell of Sun; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her son Junior Ray Leonard, daughter Angela Leonard Mansfield, son Matthew McNeese, granddaughter Brandi Leonard, parents Marley Barber and Mary Carter Barber, sisters Dorothy Cooper, Louise Athey, Beatrice “Bea” Athey, brothers Ray Barber, Junior Barber.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton, LA) Wednesday March 11th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Wednesday with Rev. Calvin Wheat officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.

Pallbearers are grandsons Nicholas Mansfield, Joseph Leonard, Raymond McClendon and great-grandson Riley McClendon.
