Jerry Ann Holmes
June 25, 1960 - March 18, 2020



Jerry Ann Holmes was born June 25, 1960 in Varnado, LA to the late Joseph Holmes Sr. and Oveda Smith Holmes. She departed this life on Wednesday, March 18, 2020.

Jerry is survived by her four children: two sons, Bobby Joseph Holmes of Atlanta, GA and Bobby Dale Holmes of New Orleans, LA; two daughters, Oveda (Walter Jr.) Williams and Arneka Holmes both of Atlanta, GA; two grandchildren, as she so affectionally called them the “JGirls,” Jaylin Holmes and Jalizah Bryant, who were the apple of her eye; five sisters, Ester (Donald) Magee, Ethel (sis) Holmes and Linda Holmes, all of Bogalusa, LA, Edwina (Hyread Sr.) Mark of Angie, LA and Tina Holmes of Houston, TX; four brothers, Joseph (Linda) Holmes Jr. of Pearl River, LA and Walter Holmes, Samuel Holmes, and Oscar (Deborah) Holmes, all of Angie, LA; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph Sr. and Oveda Holmes; brother, Larry Holmes Sr.; and sister, Brenda Holmes.

Jerry was always a loving and kindhearted person who exemplified the phrase “I am my brother’s keeper”. If you needed a dollar, she would share hers; if you needed a place to stay, then her home was your home; If you needed a ride, then her car was your car. She had such a big heart and a bright smile.

Visitation will be from 9:00AM - 10:00AM on Wednesday, March 25, 2020 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa.

Funeral service will be Private.
