Junnie Riley Painter
June 22, 1925 - March 3, 2020



Junnie Riley Painter, age 94 and a lifelong resident of Mount Hermon, died early Tuesday morning March 3, 2020 at Good Samaritan Living Center. She worked alongside her husband and family in the dairy business for much of her life. Junnie enjoyed gardening and tending her flowers. She also enjoyed sitting on her front porch sipping sweet tea and rocking her babies. Junnie loved cooking for her family, often her great tomato gravy and biscuits. She also liked to walk every day for exercise, even up until very recently.

Survived by: 6 Children and Spouses: Genevia Money, Paul N. and Celia Painter all of Mt. Hermon, Janet P. Seibert of Franklinton, Mickey and Sheila Painter of Mt. Hermon, Mel N. and Theresa Painter of Pine, Debbie and John Gill of Mt. Hermon; 16 Grandchildren; 21 Great-grandchildren; 3 Great-great-grandchildren; Sister and Brother in law: Glendora and Frank Bickham of Mt. Hermon; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members.

She was preceded in death by her husband Norman A. Painter, parents Alfred Riley and Zula Miller Riley, sister Burnell “Cooter” Denham, brother Donnie Riley.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Thursday March 5th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00 am Thursday with Rev. Percy Frazier officiating. Burial will follow in the Mount Hermon Cemetery.
