Jonwesley Clinton "Clint" Vernon
November 15, 1991 - March 20, 2020



Jonwesley Clinton “Clint” Vernon, 28 year old son of Henry and Lorie Tynes Vernon, passed away on Friday, March 20th at his home in Pine, LA.

Clint was a 2010 graduate of Bogalusa High School and 2018 graduate of Southeastern LA University. He was a member of Highland Baptist Church in Bogalusa and enjoyed visiting Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist with his Nanny and his Aunt Liz.

Clint enjoyed fishing in his spare time and had a black lab named Woody. He always enjoyed family Sunday lunch at his Nanny’s.

Besides his parents, he is survived by brothers, Jason E. Vernon of Amite, LA and Matthew H. Vernon of Livingston Parish; his maternal grandmother, Lois Warren Tynes( a.k.a Nanny) of Pine; niece and nephew, Aurelia Vernon and Eli Vernon of Abita Springs; uncles, Johnny (Denise) Vernon, Sammy (Angel) Tynes, Walter (Martha) Vernon, and Charles Tynes; aunts, Kandis Whittington (Zane), Susie Ducoing (Mike), and Liz Freeman. He is also survived by many cousins, family, and friends.

Clint was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, John Leland and Aurelia Vernon and maternal grandfather, Charles Wesley Tynes.

Clint was employed with Windmill/Bantings Nursery. He was also general manager of the family business, The Southern Waterslides & Jumpers.

Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home has been entrusted with his arrangements. Graveside services will be held at Warren Cemetery in Pine, LA on Saturday, March 28th at 11:30 a.m. Bro. Jeff Mizell of Highland Baptist Church will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, please make donations in Clint’s memory to Highland Baptist Church, P.O. Box 777, Bogalusa, LA 70429.

Serving as pallbearers will be Jonathan Tynes, Blake Freeman, Dillon Tynes, Travis Tynes, Hayden Jenkins, and Ethan Ducoing. Honorary pallbearers will be Johnathon Mitchell, John Roy Mullett, Josh Ledet, and Andrew and Clint Walters.

A special memorial service will be held at Highland Baptist Church at a later date.
