Obituary

Craig Estave, Sr.
December 16, 1970 - March 3, 2020



Craig Henry Estave, Sr., age 49 and a resident of the Clifton Community near Franklinton, passed away peacefully at his home early Tuesday morning March 3, 2020 after a courageous battle with cancer. He was a 1989 graduate of Franklinton High School that loved hunting, fishing and the outdoors. Craig worked for many years with the Hood Automotive Group, most recently as the service director for both the Covington and Amite locations. Craig loved to cook for his friends and family. He enjoyed going to the ballgames of his children and grandchildren and had even coached little league baseball for several years. He cherished the time spent with his family and will be lovingly missed by all that knew him.

Survived by: Wife: Ann Estave of Clifton; Son: Craig “C.J.” Estave, Jr. of Clifton; Daughter and Son in law: Kayla and Lee Hunt of Franklinton; 3 Grandsons: Kolby Robertson, Hayden Hunt, Knox Hunt; Parents: Robert J. Estave, Sr. and Hazel Lipps Estave of Clifton; Grandmother: Dorothy Estave of Metairie, LA; Brother and Sister in law: Keith and Tamica Estave of Franklinton; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Michelle LoBianco of Denham Springs, Kristine and Jamie Morris of the Richardson Community; Father in law and Mother in law: Raymond and Frances Jaufre of Walker, LA; Sisters in law and Brothers in law: Wanda Vandorn of Texas, Veronica and Eric Hillard of Moss Bluff, LA, Ray and Donna Jaufre of Reserve, LA; Also numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins and many dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his brother Robert Joseph Estave, Jr., grandfather Henry Estave, grandparents Raymond Lipps, Sr. and Pauline Lipps and an uncle Raymond Lipps, Jr.

Visitation will be at Holy Family Catholic Church (1220 14th Ave, Franklinton, LA) on Friday March 6th from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held in the church at 3:00 pm Friday with Father Kyle Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in the Saint Joseph Abbey Cemetery near Covington.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Debbie’s Dream Foundation: Curing Stomach Cancer (www.debbiesdream.org) or to Holy Family Catholic Church at the address above.
