Charles Edwin Robinson
July 19, 1950 - March 20, 2020



I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing. II Timothy 4:7-8 (KJV)       

Charles Edwin Robinson was born July 19, 1950 to Clyde and Velmon Robinson in Bogalusa, Louisiana.

Charles graduated from Central High School, after graduation Charles worked at the Box Factory in Bogalusa. Charles married Melba Jean Newkirk of Bogalusa, LA and from their union a son was born, Charles Robinson, Jr. Years passed Charles and Melba moved to California. When the marriage was over, Charles moved to Texas where he met a young lady, Carolyn Halbert, and from their union a son was born, Willie Edwin2 Robinson.

Charles came to Christ and joined Tree of Life Baptist Church where he taught Sunday School and Bible Training Union. Charles attended and Graduated Harper Baptist Seminary School in Magnolia, Mississippi on February 16, 2017.

Charles leaves to mourn two brothers, Gregory (Barbara) Robinson and Michael (Gail) Robinson; two sisters, Cora (Samuel) Gooden and Sarah Hayward; and a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by four brothers, Clyde, Felton, Joseph, and Jessie Earl; two sisters, Gardena and Mary; two granddaughters and a grandson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 28, 2020 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa from 10:00AM - 11:00AM.

Funeral service will be Saturday, March 28, 2020 at 12:00 Noon at Crain and Sons Funeral Home. Services will be private. Interment - Robinson Cemetery.
