Eva Pearl Stewart
March 1, 1936 - March 20, 2020



Eva Pearl Stewart, age 84 and a resident of the Lawrence Creek Community, passed away on March 20, 2020. She was a faithful member of Lawrence Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She enjoyed singing in a lady’s trio. Her motto was “Let Jesus be seen in my life by the Fruit that I bear”.

Pearl graduated from Robertsdale High School in Alabama in 1954 and in 1957 graduated from Holmes Theological Seminary in Greensville, SC with a Bachelor of Science degree.

In 1958, Pearl married the love of her life, Robert (Billy) Stewart. Then in 1971 she and Robert moved to LA with their 3 young son’s to farm which included dairying and Stewart’s Pallet in which she helped as well as kept the business books. During those years she was a substitute teacher approximately 10 years at Bowling Green School where her 3 sons attended. She loved all the students and teachers and every year made whole wheat homemade bread for the school festivals.

Survived by: Two sons & daughter-in-law’s: Mark and Margaret Stewart, Stephen and Tammy Stewart all of Franklinton, LA. Grandchildren, Phillip and wife Annwood “Tricia” Stewart, Vincent and wife Heather Stewart, Matthew and wife Laiton Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Delaney and husband Evan Sinopoli all of Franklinton, LA. Genifer and fiancĂ© Benjamin Jones of Poplarville, MS. Great grandchildren, Grace and Graham Stewart and Briar Jones; Brothers and one sister: AJ and (sister-in-law) Linda Campbell, Larry and (sister-in-law) Marilyn, Rita and (brother-in-law) Bobby Shores all of Baldwin County, AL. Gary and (sister-in-law) Kay Campbell of Cleveland, TN., Leon (brother-in-law) and Donna Stewart (sister-in-law) of Atmore, AL., numerous nieces and nephews, numerous special friends.

Preceded in Death by: Husband, Robert Alton Stewart of 52 years; son, Phillip Alton Stewart; parents, James and Bonnie Campbell; infant brother David Campbell all of Robertsdale, AL.;  Elizabeth Campbell, (sister-in-law) of Atlanta, GA.; John Stewart (father-in-law); Suzie Stewart (mother-in-law) of Atmore, AL.; Nell Boatwright (sister-in-law) and Jake Boatwright (brother-in-law) of Andalusa, AL.; Curtis Stewart (brother-in-law) of Robertsdale, AL.

Pallbearers: Phillip Stewart, Vincent Stewart, Matthew Stewart, Joshua Stewart, Evan Sinopoli and Benjamin Jones.

Honorary Pallbearers: Graham Stewart, Gabe Guttuso, and Lawrence Creek Ladies’ Sunday School Class.

A graveside funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday in Ellis Cemetery in Franklinton with Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Due to the circumstances impacting our community, a public service for her friends and family will take place in her church at a more appropriate time in the near future.
