Karen Magee Ingram
August 19, 1959 - March 10, 2020



Karen Diane Magee Ingram, age 60 and a resident of Franklinton, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday March 10, 2020 after a long courageous battle with illness. She was always a devoted wife and mother as her husband and children were her best friends and she adored her grandchildren. Karen was a longtime member of Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church. She worked for over 20 years as a substitute teacher, most frequently at Franklinton Primary School, and felt it was an honor to mentor the many young children she met. Karen loved traveling and camping with her family. She was the chairman of the Better Baby Contest of the Washington Parish Fair for many years and also served on the Fair Rodeo Committee. Karen was blessed with a kind, fun-loving spirit with an infectious laugh and she will be lovingly missed by all that knew her.

Survived by: Husband: Rickey Ingram of Franklinton; Daughter: Shanda Ingram Franklinton and her fiancé Jordan Leino; Son and Daughter in law: Jeremy and Rhonda Ingram of Searcy, AR; 4 Grandchildren: Allie Foles, Nicholas Foles, Jude Ingram, Joseph Ingram; Mother: Betty Crankshaw of Wiggins, MS; Grandmother: Idell Crain of Bogalusa; Sister and Brother in law: Darlene and Jerry Sykes of Pass Christian, MS; Brothers and Spouses: Sam Magee and Dale Pope of Pass Christian, Greg and Rhonda Magee of Saucier, MS; Sisters in law and a Brother in law: JoAnne Gerald of Pine, Diane and John Mitchell of Anniston, AL; Also numerous nieces and nephews

She was preceded in death by her father and step-mother Clyde O. Magee and Bea Magee, step-father Casey Crankshaw, grandfather Lavert Crain, father in law and mother in law Sammy and Ruth Ingram, brother in law Charles Ray Gerald.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Friday March 13th from 5:00 pm until 9:00 pm. Visitation will continue Saturday at Acy’s Creek Missionary Baptist Church from 9:00 am until the time of the service at 11:00 am with Eld. Donnie Broom and Eld. Duane Ball officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

Pallbearers: Kenny Sheridan, Bruce Sheridan, Brian Passman, Terry Brumfield, Russell Creel, Bryan Stoltz

Honorary Pallbearers are her 4 grandchildren, whom she loved so dearly.
