Message From Washington Parish Council on Aging

Beginning 3/24/2020 the Washington Parish Council on Aging administrative offices will close at

1:00 p.m. daily until April 13th. While most of our employees will not be reporting to our facilities, they will be working remotely from home in order to continue providing services to our elderly clients. If you need to speak with us after these hours, please call (985) 732-6869 and leave a message and someone will return your call as soon as possible.

Just a reminder-Homebound meal delivery will continue on Monday's, Tuesday's and Wednesdays uninterrupted.

Transit rides are available to medically necessary appointments (please call your medical provider to make sure your appointment has not been cancelled); grocery and drug stores and banks.

Congregate Meal participants-You will be receiving a call from a Nutrition Site Manager at least 3 times per week to check on you and provide you with updates regarding your services and when our centers will reopen.

As we struggle to deal with this unprecedented event please remember these words from the book of Isiah: Isiah 41:13 "Don't be afraid. I am here to help you".
