Reverend Mason E. Miley
August 08, 1925 - February 20, 2020



Funeral services for the Reverend Mason E. Miley, 94, will be held at 11 A.M. on Monday, February 24, 2020 at  the Harmony Missionary Baptist Church in Pine, Louisiana.   The Reverend Darrel Ezel will officiate.  Reverend Miley, a resident of Angie, Louisiana, died at his residence on Thursday, February 20, 2020.

He was born August 8, 1925 in Washington Parish, Louisiana to the late Luther and Margaret Adams Miley.  In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by Joy Miley and ten brothers and sisters.

The Reverend Miley was a minister for 64 years and 45 of those years were as the pastor of Sharon Missionary Baptist Church in Pine, Louisiana.  He was a member of Harmony Missionary Baptist Church and enjoyed working on cars, farming, gardening (he was an avid gardener), and shopping as Jacob’s Well.

He is survived by his wife, Georgie Miley.  One son, David Miley.  One daughter, Violet Travis, One sister, Macell Cogburn.  One son-in-law, James Travis.  4 Grandchildren, and 9 Great-grandchildren.

Burial will be in the Miley Cemetery with Hartman Hughes Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 5:30 P.M. till 9 P.M. at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home and on Monday, February 24, 2020 from 9 A.M. till service time at 11 A.M.  at Harmony Missionary Baptist Church.
