Donna Sue Spears Adams
August 30, 1958 - February 23, 2020



Donna Sue Spears Adams, age 61 and a resident of Thomas, departed her Earthly home peacefully, surrounded by her beloved family and friends, after a courageous battle with cancer. Donna was born on August 30, 1958 in Tylertown, MS to her late father Willie Jay Spears and Billie Sue Terrell Spears. She graduated from Pine High School where she played basketball. Donna worked for over 20 years as a paraprofessional at Thomas School before her recent retirement. She was a longtime member of Thomas First Baptist Church that still actively gave of her time and resources for the Lord’s work. Donna always enjoyed attending the games of her children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was always a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister and friend.

Donna leaves behind to cherish her memory: Husband of 34 years: Randy Adams of Thomas; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Trenton Adams and Adreane Kuhn of Thomas, Colby and Lacey Adams of Franklinton; 2 Precious grandchildren that she truly adored: Lawsen Adams and Emersyn Adams; Mother: Bilile Sue Terrell Spears of Thomas; 2 Sisters and Brothers in law: Kim and Darryl Cooper, Heidi and Randy Woodward all of Thomas; Nephews and a Spouse: Brett and Shayla Cooper of Sheridan, Chance Woodward, Caden Woodward both of Thomas; Niece and Spouse: Brittney and Shea Sumrall; Great-nephew: Slade Sumrall; Great-niece: Anna Rae Cooper; Special Friend: Nelline Barber; Also numerous sisters in law, brothers in law, special aunts and uncles, nieces, nephews, other family members and many dear friends.

She was also preceded in death by her brother Danny Raymond Spears, grandparents William and Lendorse Terrell, Buss and Frances Spears, father in law and mother in law Chess Adams and Eleanor Bedwell Adams, grandparents in law Kinch Adams and Viola Miley Adams.

Visitation will be at Thomas First Baptist Church (30354 Hwy. 424, Franklinton) Wednesday February 26th from 9:00 am until 11:00 am. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Wednesday with Rev. Shadd Pittman and Rev. David Easterling officiating. Burial will follow in the Reuben Adams Memorial Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family prefers memorial donations to Thomas First Baptist Church (30354 Hwy. 424, Franklinton, LA 70438) or The Reuben Adams Memorial Cemetery Fund (24525 Reuben Adams Cemetery Road, Angie, LA 70426).
