Emma Jean Young
September 21, 1949 - February 05, 2020



Emma J. Warren Young was born on September 21, 1949 to the late Delmas Warren and Ester Lee Bickham Warren. On February 5, 2020 she was called home to eternal rest.

She received her education at Washington High School. At an early age she was baptized at New Jerusalem Baptist Church and later on she joined Out Reach Full Gospel Baptist Church. She worked at Heritage Manor Nursing Home for fifteen years.

She leaves behind to cherish her memories one daughter, Onycha (Tremale) Young of Franklinton, LA; four sons, Kevin (Nicole) Magee of Jackson, MS, Eric Young and Rechard (Markayla) Young of Franklinton, LA and Jabbar (Sharonda) Young of Virginia; thirteen grandchildren, Aaliyah Young, Aria Young Walterius Young, Kerdae Young, Adrianna Young, Adrienne Young, Nia Young, Kason Young, Jabbar Young, Jr., Erica Sims, Amber Young, Eric Young, Jr., and Keria Magee; her mother, Ester Lee Warren; four sisters, Irma Ducure, Mamie Bonseigneur, Frances (Eli) Robinson and Christine Sally Warren; two brothers, Jerry (Pamela) Warren and Curtis (Genevia) Warren; five great grandchildren, and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, relatives and friends.

She is preceded in death by the late, Johnny Young and the late, Alfred Dawson.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2020 from 1:00PM - 3:00PM at Greater Hayes Creek Missionary Baptist Church followed by funeral service at 3:00PM with Rev. Jerome Warren - Pastor, Eld. Antoine Graves - Eulogist. Interment will be at Greater Hayes Cemetery.
