Gerald Pounds passed away on January 31, 2020 in Covington, LA at the age of 76. He was born in Bogalusa, LA on November 14, 1943.
He is survived by Catherine Easterling Beall; his daughters, Tara (Jeremy) Schenk and Alisha Renae Pounds; and his grandchildren, Kadyn, Kalette (Lettie) Schenk, Daeson Taylor, Cara Taylor, Kai Sumpter, and Eli Sumpter; sisters, Ruthalia Lumpkin, Barbara Lewis, and Linda (Howard) Stewart.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Currun and Bedelia Henley Pounds; grandparents, James Perry & Missouri Henley and Harrison & Docia Pounds; brothers, Vincent Moran, Douglas Pounds, and Greg Pounds.
Mr. Pounds' arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory. Services celebrating his life will be held at Lee’s Creek Baptist Church on Saturday, February 8, 2020. Visitation will begin at 12:00 p.m. and continue until the memorial service begins at 2:00 p.m. Rev. Keith Sheridan will officiate.
