Obituary

Joshua Ryan Seal
August 10, 1990 - January 25, 2020

Joshua Ryan Seal, age 29 and a resident of Franklinton, died Saturday night January 25, 2020 as the result of an automobile accident. He was a 2008 graduate of Franklinton High School before working with the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development for 10 years. For the last year, Josh has worked as a Tech for the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries, which allowed him to do what he loved, which is being in the outdoors. He often worked at the Sandy Hollow Wildlife Management Area and always enjoyed taking young people on the Youth Hunts. Josh loved hunting, fishing and walking in the park alongside his fiancé, with his daughter sitting on his shoulders. He hoped to pass his love of the outdoors down to her at a young age, as he took her hunting as often as he could. He spent countless hours hunting with his buddies in the Mosher Hill Hunting Club. Josh collected hundreds of arrowheads and had a real eye for finding them in the woods and fields of our area. He was a charismatic and witty person that could light up the room with his playfulness and sense of humor. Josh loved to make people laugh and play pranks on his family and friends. He always enjoyed joking with the people closest to him and even those he just met. Josh was a lifelong member of Bonner Creek Baptist Church.
