The four are accused of murdering Andre Johnson (33) at Johnson's apartment at the Slidell Housing Authority during a planned robbery in an attempt to obtain illegal drugs and money from Johnson. The four teenagers (all from Slidell) fled the scene but were later captured on the outside perimeter of the Slidell Housing Authority.

The Slidell Police Department investigated the case and Assistant District Attorney Tiffany Dover presented the case to the Grand Jury.
