Three Arrested in November 5th Covington Shooting

On Tuesday, November 5, 2019, the Covington Police Department responded to the 900 block of North Florida Street in Covington to investigate a shooting where one man received a critical gunshot wound. Yesterday (December 6, 2019), Covington Police announced the arrests, with the assistance of the St Tammany Parish Sheriff’s Office, of three persons in relation to the shooting.

Avery Fabre (19), Mikhail Washington (26), and Markell Powell (27) were each charged with Attempted Second Degree Murder. Powell was additionally charged with Transactions Involving Proceeds from Drug Offenses, Distribution or Possession With Intent to Distribute Schedule 1 Controlled Dangerous Substance, and Possession of Marijuana or Synthetic Cannabinoids (Marijuana).
