Velma Marie Fairburn Jones, age 81 and a resident of Franklinton, died Saturday, December 7, 2019 at Riverside Medical Center.
She enjoyed watching hummingbirds. She loved to make quilts and embroidery. She spent time reading her favorite books. She enjoyed going to listen to gospel music. Her most precious time was spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was a member of Plainview Baptist Church.
Survived by: 2 Sons and a daughter in law: Billy Jones of Franklinton, Johnny and Donna Jones of Indiantown, FL; 3 Daughters and sons in law: Emily Gonzalez of Fargo, ND, Eva and Mike Graham, Cindy and Tommy Guy all of Franklinton; Numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; An expected great great grandson
She was preceded in death by her husband Virgil Jones, her parents Warren Woodard and Vickey Dykes Fairburn, 2 sons Bobby Jones and Allen Jones, a grandson Barrett Harmon and brothers and a sister.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday, December 10, 2019 from 5 PM until 9 PM and after 9 AM Wednesday. A funeral service will be held at 2 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Leon Hickman officiating. Burial will follow in the Spencer Cemetery.
