John David Landry
June 29, 1963 - December 3, 2019
John David Landry, age 56 and a resident of Franklinton, died Tuesday evening December 3, 2019 at Our Lady of the Angels Hospital. He was a longtime truck driver for Hunt Trucking, Q.D. Turnage Trucking, and Goat Schilling Trucking through the years. John was currently the owner/operator of Circle L Trucking for many years where he was driving his favorite Mack Truck. His CB handle was “Pistol Pete” and he was the delivery driver for Premier Portable Buildings during the last 8 years. John was a hard worker that also enjoyed eating with his family.
Survived by: Wife: Vickey Lawrence Landry of Franklinton; 3 Sons and a Daughter in law: Floyd and Madison Landry of Bogalusa, David Lee Landry of Slidell, Kevin Lumas of Franklinton; Grandchildren: Annabelle Crain, Ameigh Landry, Zylen Stafford, Tucker Landry, Harper Landry, William Ray Lee Landry; An expected granddaughter: Aubrey Nicole Goodman; Brother: Willie Landry of New York; Sister and Brother in law: Doretha and Ray Hendricks of Houma; Longtime Friend and Co-worker: Jimmy Jenkins, Jr.; Also numerous nieces and nephews
He was preceded in death by his parents John Wallace Landry and Dorothy Barber Landry and a special uncle Leon Barber.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Sunday December 8th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Sunday with Dr. Gene Richards officiating. Burial will follow in the Springhill-Magee Cemetery.
