A. C. "Slick" Rogers
October 30, 1935 - November 30, 2019



A. C. “Slick" Rogers, age 84 and a resident of Pine, died early Saturday morning November 30, 2019 at Good Samaritan Living Center. He was longtime member of Pine Missionary Baptist Church and retired after a long career with the Bridge crew of the Louisiana Department of Transportation and Development. A.C. was also a member of the Louisiana Army National Guard for well over 20 years, and a proud patriot that loved the American Flag. He enjoyed working in his yard and flower garden and loved spending time with his family and grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 41 years: Dorris Thomas Rogers of Pine; Son and Daughter in law: Patrick and Mirandah Rogers of Pine; Step-Daughter and Son in law: Diana and Jimmy Stuart of Pine; 6 Grandchildren and Spouse: Amber and Jeffery Delee, Angela and Kenneth Martin, Matthew Stuart, Josiah Rogers, Sarah and Roger Collier, Dana and Koy McIntyre; 6 Great-grandchildren: Isaiah Delee, Isabella Delee, Ella Martin, Bailey McIntyre, Blaire McIntrye, Rayden Collier; Sister and Brother in law: Linda and Tony Forbes of Franklinton; Also numerous nieces and nephews

He was preceded in death by his parents Emeriah Rogers and Francis Chain Rogers, brothers Delos Rogers, Ovead Rogers, sisters Myrtis Brown, Emmy Francis Rogers, Ann Box, Rose Creel.

Visitation will be at Pine Missionary Baptist Church on Sunday December 1st from 6:00 pm until 9:00 pm and after 9:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 12:00 pm Monday with Eld. Adam Luper, Eld. Burdette Thomas and Eld. Donnie Broom officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Pine Community Cemetery.
