A major step in addressing our addiction crisis in Washington Parish will be the opening of the Woodlake Addiction Recovery Center in Bogalusa. The results of addiction are seen in the tragic losses of lives, the destruction of families, and has impacted our criminal justice system. Woodlake will offer a full continuum of care of addiction and recovery services that will enhance resources for substance use disorder treatment for all Washington Parish and surrounding area residents.
The meeting is at the Bogalusa Country Club from 12:00 to 1:00 PM. The lunch buffet opens at 11:45 AM.
What is Bogalusa Strong?
Bogalusa Strong is a collaboration of community members, leaders, businesses and organizations working together to improve quality of life by promoting physical, social, and environmental health. Supported by Mayor Wendy Perrette, the Mayor’s Wellness Council, Our Lady of Angels Hospital, LSU AgCenter, and the Louisiana Department of Health Well-Ahead Louisiana, Bogalusa Strong works to empower a vision for a healthier community. Bogalusa Strong meets the 4th Tuesday of each month at 12:00 p.m. at the Bogalusa Country Club (except for holiday conflicts).
