Rudolph Pierce, Jr.
October 09, 1943 - October 28, 2019



Rudolph Pierce, Jr., affectionately known to many as June and some as Rudie. He was the third child of four children, born October 9, 1943, to the union of the late Alma Magee and Rudolph Pierce Sr.  He entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, October 29, 2019 at Heritage Manor Nursing Home.  Rudolph was a life-long  resident of Franklinton, LA and a graduate of Washington Parish High School.  At an early age, Rudolph was baptized at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness.

Rudolph was a dedicated worker and a friend to all.  After graduating high school he worked offshore for several years.  He later found his career working for Bellsouth Communications, the job he truly enjoyed.

Rudolph met the love of his life and was united in Holy Matrimony to Sandra Robinson Pierce for 25 beautiful years,  to this union Rudolph gained two children.

Rudolph was a friendly and caring person who had a love for cooking, sitting on his porch, entertaining friends, reading the newspaper, and most passionately canning peppers and crab-apples and for his loved ones.  Rudolph was also known for  giving everyone a nickname.

He leaves to cherish his memories his wife Sandra Pierce, two children Dedria Robinson of Tacoma, WA and Damien Robinson of Amite, LA, three grandchildren Tia Taplin, Teneya Taplin and JaKari Hart, his brother Jimmie Don Pierce of New Orleans, LA, a special nephew Alvin (Catherine) Brumfield of Franklinton, La and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

Rudoplph was preceded in death by his parents, Rudolph Pierce Sr. and  Alma Magee Pierce, two sisters Dorothy Brumfield and Eddie Jean Brown, one sister-in-law Ferryell  Pierce and his grandson Damien Miller.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Sweet Home Church of Christ Holiness, 2200 Greenlaw Avenue in Franklinton, Louisiana.
