Obituary

John Hall
December 22, 1938 - November 6, 2019



John Hall, age 80 and a resident of Mt. Hermon, LA,  died Wednesday November 6, 2019 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital. He was a native of native of Greenwood, MS and had lived in Washington Parish for nearly 30 years. John was a United States Army veteran of the Vietnam War that proudly served his country for 20 years. He was a member of Mount Calvary Baptist Church near Independence. John loved all types of hunting and the outdoors. He enjoyed working on lawnmower and tractor engines. He had a soft place in his heart for young children and loved to visit and play with them whenever he met them at stores or other places. John loved his family and cherished the time spent with his grandchildren.

Survived by: Wife of 30 years: Shara Jarrell Hall of Mt. Hermon; Son and Daughter in law: John and Dara Baham of Ashland, VA; Daughter in law: Heather Baham of Kentwood; 5 Grandchildren: Makayla Baham, Trinity Baham, Selene Baham, Mia Schaeffer, Michael Baham, Elaina Schaeffer; 4 Brothers and Sisters in law: Joe and Hildegard Hall of Anniston, AL, Jerry Hall, Mike and Barbara Hall all of Sidon, MS, Bruce Hall of Carrollton, MS; 4 Sisters and Brothers in law: Mildred Hayes of Greenwood, MS, Geneva and Milton Martin of Carrollton, MS, Susan and Rodney Holloway of Itta Bena, MS, Linda Leblanc of Tomball, TX; Sisters in law: Patsy Hall of San Antonio, TX, Carol Hall of Pontotoc, NY; Also numerous nieces, nephews, brothers in law, sisters in law, other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by a son Luther Clyde Baham, Jr., parents Walter Hall and Jessie Geneva Skelton Hall, brothers Walter Ray Hall, Bill Hall and nephew Bart Hall.

Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home (1109 Bene Street, Franklinton) on Saturday November 9th from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 11:30 am Saturday with Rev. Chris Hoyt officiating. Burial will follow in the Mt. Hermon Cemetery.
