Martha Jane Bateman Mizell, age 86 and a resident of the Springhill/Enon Community, died Sunday morning November 10, 2019 at Restoration Living Center in Covington. She was a longtime member of Enon Baptist Church. Martha worked for several years at Hill Finance in Bogalusa and later at Washington Bank in Franklinton. She enjoyed tending her flowers, working in her garden and camping with her family and grandchildren.
Survived by: 2 Sons and Daughters in law: Greg and Dawn Mizell, Steve and Patty Mizell all of the Enon Community; Daughter and Son in law: Karen and Mark Watson of the Springhill/Enon Community; 3 Grandchildren and a Spouse: Brandi and Seth Mayeaux, Robert Mizell, Tyler Mizell; Great-granddaughter: Addison Soileau
She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years Buford Mizell, parents Frank Bateman and Lillian Richardson Bateman, a sister Janell Brumfield, brothers Delbert Bateman, Hugh V. Bateman, and Lillard Bateman.
A graveside funeral service will be held in Mizell Cemetery near Enon at 10:00 am Wednesday November 13th with Rev. Chris Wheeler officiating. Burial will follow.
Pallbearers are Steve Mizell, Greg Mizell, Robert Mizell, Tyler Mizell, Mark Watson
