WPSO: Franklinton-Area Man Arrested, Stolen Items Recovered

Randall Chynne Urbanski (43), a resident of Tycer Varnado Road near Franklinton, is in the Washington Parish Jail after his September 24, 2019 arrest by the Washington Parish Sheriff’s Office for possession of stolen property, possession with intent to distribute illegal narcotics, possession of a pistol with an obliterated serial number and being a convicted felon in possession of a firearm. (The press release was delayed pending completion of the initial investigation). Urbanski remains in jail with his bond set at $330,000.
Acting on a request from the Livingston Parish Sheriff’s Office, Washington Parish Sheriff Randy Seal dispatched deputies to the Tycer Varnado Road address to search for items which had been reported stolen in Livingston and East Baton Rouge parishes. Armed with a search warrant, detectives recovered numerous stolen items, including a dump truck stolen from Denham Springs, trailers stolen from Baton Rouge and a truck stolen from Washington Parish, along with illegal narcotics and weapons. Also recovered was a Caterpillar mini-excavator whose owner has yet to be identified.

WPSO Detective Raymond Myers is handling the investigation and asks that any person who might have purchased any material or items from Randall Urbanski contact him at (985) 839-3434.

Urbanski is no stranger to the criminal justice system, having been arrested four previous times in Washington Parish. Previous arrests include charges of manufacturing and selling illegal drugs and possession of stolen property.

“It is my desire to introduce Mr. Urbanski to the Louisiana Department of Corrections,” stated Sheriff Randy Seal. He deserves to be in their custody for a long period of time and we are presenting a strong case to the District Attorney for Urbanski’s prosecution. Meanwhile, if anyone has knowledge of any other crimes committed by Urbanski, I ask them to contact either me or Detective Myers.”
