Turn in Old Prescriptions in Franklinton Saturday, Oct. 26th

The Franklinton Police Department is participating in the Drug Enforcement Agency National
TakeBack Day, on Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 10 am and 2 pm. FPD Sgt. James “Tiger” Folks notes that this program allows individuals to turn in unused or expired medications, which can cause safety issues such as accidental poisoning, overdoses, and abuse. Unused prescription drugs can be just as dangerous as street drugs when taken without a prescription or Doctor's supervision.

The Franklinton Police Department Officers will have a drop off box in the Department lobby (409 11th Avenue) Saturday, October 26, 2019, from 10 am to 2 pm, to accept any unused or expired medications. If you have any old prescriptions, please drop them off and we will dispose of them properly.

The Franklinton Police Department strives to keep drugs off its streets and out of the schools.
