“I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course. I have kept the faith” (2 Timothy 4:7).
Mrs. Lena M. Young was born Sept. 10, 1940, to the late Eva Mae Johnson. She departed from her earthly home to her home in glory at the age of 79 on Saturday, Oct. 12, 2019, at her residence.
She leaves to cherish her loving memories: two sons, Randolph (Toni) Young and Denver O. Young of Sun; five daughters, Juanita Clark, Eva Torrence and Judith (Troy) Miller of Slidell, and Linda (David) Wright and Cynthia (Elijah) Carter of Sun; one step-son, Craig Bagent of Sun; a sister, Ola Mae Womack of Greensburg; 13 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Denver Young; mother, Eva Mae Johnson; father, Mitchell Wyre; a step-father, Charlie Johnson; two daughters, Brenda and Bernadine Young; a sister, Georgia Mae Selmon; and two brothers, John and Lawrence Wyre.
Visitation will be Friday, October 18, 2019 from 2:00PM - 7:00PM followed by the funeral service at 7:00PM at Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa with Elder Lawrence Garrett, officiating.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home - Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
