Barbara Ann Ruiz Luquette, age 86, passed away on Wednesday, October 30, 2019 at Heritage Manor of Mandeville. She was born in Ascension Parish, LA on May 22, 1933.
Barbara Luquette was a joy to all who knew her. She was energetic, fun-loving, loved company, and loved her Lord. She was a member of Palestine Baptist Church.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husbands, Irby Luquette and Howard Nuttall; her adopted daughter, Evelyn Deville; her parents, Edward and Carrie Gomez Ruiz; brothers, Manual, Edward, George, Lauren, and Alex Ruiz; sisters, Lula Babin, Beulah Amedee, and Carrie Stogner.
She is survived by grandsons, Lauren and Chad Touchet; and numerous nieces, nephews, and special friend, Chad Dufrene.
Graveside services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, November 1, 2019 at Palestine Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Fred Brumfield officiating.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Palestine Baptist Church Benevolence Fund at 59369 Palestine Church RD., Bogalusa, LA.
Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory has been entrusted with her arrangements.
