Tourism Office to Sponsor Fair Booth

The Washington Parish Tourism Commission will again provide an informational display during the

Washington Parish Free Fair. We are located in the front of the Old Armory building, with Junior Fine Arts and the Washington Parish Genealogical and Historical Society.

Any local event organizers or TOURISM-related businesses that have brochures, upcoming events flyers, or materials for display in the booth are encouraged to deliver them to the tourism office as soon as possible. This includes parade organizers, museums, festivals or street fairs, art shows, music or holiday events, as well as bed & breakfasts, cabins, or campgrounds, recreational outlets, restaurants, and locally produced products.

The Fair provides a great opportunity to inform our many visitors of all the attractions the parish has to offer, and we also try to provide local residents with information on attractions and activities in our surrounding area. The tourism office maintains brochures throughout the year, and local information is sent in packets in response to visitor queries.

Office hours are Monday, Wednesday, and Friday between 9:00am and 4:00pm. The office is located at 1950 Washington St. in Franklinton. You may mail or drop off items at that location.
