David Weston Kennedy, age 67 and a resident of State Line, died Wednesday, September 4, 2019 at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans.
He was a very devoted and dedicated member of Briarwood Baptist Church and served as chairman of deacon and was also minister of music for many years. He was a Medical Practice Administrator for McKinney Anesthesia for several years. He sang for numerous weddings and funerals. He had a love for mission work. He loved taking care of his farm and his yard. He loved his family and they meant the world to him.
Survived by: Brother and sister in law: Kevin R. and Susan Kennedy of Pineridge, Ark.; 2 Sisters: Dana S. Froberg of McKinney, TX. Kathy M. Polk of State Line; Nieces and nephews and their spouses: Jon Froberg, Josh Froberg, Melissa and Darren Creel, Matthew and Misty Polk, Mitchell Polk, Michael Polk, Daniel Kennedy; Great nieces and nephews and spouse: Collin and Kristin Creel, Kirkland and Hayleigh Creel, Alyssa Polk, Ashlyn Polk, Weston Polk, Anna Kate Polk, Alyssa Bickham, James Bickham, II; Great great niece: Annalee Polk; Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents Charlie Rastus and Lelia Boone Kennedy.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home from 6 PM until 8 PM Saturday, September 7, 2019 and after 12 noon Sunday. A funeral service will be held at 2PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Eric Williams and Rev. Jerry Kennedy officiating. Burial will follow in the Briarwood Baptist Church Cemetery.
