Mary Beth Bankston of Bush, Louisiana, passed away on September 7, 2019 at the age of 85.
Mrs. Bankston was born in Mendenhall, MS on March 7, 1934 and she worked in retail prior to her retirement. She was a member of Bush United Methodist Church. She enjoyed baking, gardening, and sewing; and loved her grandchildren greatly.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ethel Tanner and Ora Ingram Tanner; one sister, Doris Beard; and brother, Bill Tanner.
Survivors include her son, David Bankston (Kathy) of Taylorsville, MS; daughter, Judy Roberts (Steve) of Bush, LA; grandchildren, Richard Roberts, Jr. and Melody Roberts; brother-in-law and his wife, John and Sue Bankston of Brandon, MS; and sisters-in-law, Billie Bryant of Raleigh, MS, Bonnie Jean Sorsby of Houston, TX, and Sharlene Tanner of Pearl, MS.
Services will be held at First United Methodist Church of Taylorsville on Wednesday, September 11, 2019. Visitation will begin at 1 p.m. and the service will follow at 3 p.m. Interment will be at Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Raleigh, MS. Rev. Carl Shuck will officiate.
