Obituary

Suan Latricia Payne
July 01, 1979 - September 13, 2019

Suan Latricia Payne was born to Robert E. Peters and the late Patricia McKelphin-Williams on July 1, 1979 in Bogalusa, LA

Suan expressed her faith early in life being baptized at Second Missionary Baptist Church. She continued her walk with Christ, serving and worshiping with continued fellowship during her lifetime of Prophetess Alessa Fabre. Her voice was as beautiful as her smile. Her spirit was bright and carried over as a loving mother, wife, sister, and friend. She embodied generosity with a heart of gold.

Suan wore the black and gold pride as Bogalusa High School honor graduate, Class of 1997. She later ventured to further her education at Southeastern Louisiana University in Hammond, LA, obtaining a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Bachelor of Arts in General Management in 2002.

Susan was employed with Maximus and The Trace Assisted Living Facility, where her presence will truly be missed. Her passion for cooking turned into a business endeavor, namely “Kountry Kookin To Go,” that pleased the taste buds of those who experienced her craft. Suan also had a gift of journaling and writing beautiful poems which was very therapeutic for her.

One of her greatest accomplishments would be known as becoming a mother and her daughter, Sha’Kira being the rhythm of her heart. Family was important to her and her bond with her siblings was one of a kind.

Susan Latricia Payne will be remembered with love by those who survived by her one daughter, Sha’Kira T. Porter; a special friend, Timothy Porter; father, Robert E.
