Jeanne Rimes Daughdrill, age 52 and a resident of Franklinton, died Wednesday morning August 28, 2019. She was born September 16, 1966 in Pascagoula, MS. Jeanne was a 1984 graduate of Pascagoula High School and later obtained her Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education from William Carey University. She taught at schools in the Leaf, MS area for several years, and always considered the people of that community as her extended family. The family moved to Franklinton where she began teaching kindergarten at Enon Elementary School. She always enjoyed the young students she had the opportunity to teach each year and she cared deeply for her many co-workers, who were like family. Jeanne was a member of Clifton Baptist Church and she loved her Sunday School class and her church family. She enjoyed working out at the gym and playing Scrabble and other board games with her family.
Survived by: Daughter: Megan Daughdrill of Bush; 2 Sons and a Daughter in law: Zachary and Courtney Daughdrill, Tyler Daughdrill all of Franklinton; 2 Grandchildren: Alexander Daughdrill, Abraxas Daughdrill; 2 Sisters and Brothers in law: Judith and Rick Heider of Petal, MS, Joanna and Sal Gomez of Jackson, MS; 2 Brothers and a Sister in law: Ray Rimes of Austin, TX, Rev. Jeff and Kristen Rimes of Brandon, MS; Former Husband and Father of the Children: Richard Daughdrill of Vancleave, MS; Also numerous nieces, nephews, other family member and many dear friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents Birl Rimes, Jr. and Elsie Byrd Rimes, step-mother Ida Jo Rimes, grandparents Birl Rimes, Sr. and Bessie Rimes, Ray and Emily Byrd.
Visitation will be at Clifton Baptist Church (27312 Hwy. 25, Franklinton. LA 70438) on Sunday September 1st from 6:00 pm until 8:30 pm and 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Monday. A funeral service will be held in the church at 11:00 am Monday with Rev. Jeff Rimes and Rev. Tony Hicks officiating. Burial will follow in the Progress Baptist Church Cemetery (1010 Progress Church Road, McComb, MS 39648).
