The initial investigation led Troopers to determine that Haney was driving a 2001 Mitsubishi Montero westbound on LA 440. For reasons still under investigation, Haney’s vehicle traveled off the left side of the roadway and crash into a tree. Haney and his front seat passenger, Harvey, were not wearing seatbelts at the time of the crash.
Both occupants sustained fatal injuries and were pronounced deceased on scene. As part of the ongoing investigation, blood samples were collected for analysis.
