Faye Barber Riley, age 64 and a resident of Mount Hermon, died Saturday evening August 3, 2019 at Our Lady of The Lake Medical Center in Baton Rouge. She always loved to work in her yard, keeping the grass mown and tending to her vegetable and flower garden. Faye liked to watch the birds and squirrels feed in her yard every day. She adored her grandchildren and loved spending time with her family.
Survived by: Husband of 25 years: Marlin Riley of Mt. Hermon; Son: Randall Jeremie Riley of Mt. Hermon; 3 Daughters and a Son in law: Stephanie Lynn Riley of Mt. Hermon, Candace Riley Lasseigne and Vernon Lasseigne of Dexter, MS, Tonya Walker Morris of Springfield, LA; 7 Grandchildren: Skylar Riley, James Esco Riley, McKenzie V. Riley, Joseph Lasseigne, DeCota Lasseigne, Ethan Lasseigne, Cheyanne Morris; 2 Sisters and a Brother in law: Nell Creel, Lucy Merle and Mickey J. McCain all of Tylertown; Sister in law: Helen Jarrell Barber of Pine; Mother in law: Evelyn Riley of Mt. Hermon; 4 Brothers in law and Sisters in law: Larry Riley of Mt. Hermon, Bobby and Cheryl Riley of Covington, Wayne and Krisy Riley of Mt. Hermon, Walter and Pam Riley of Enon; Also numerous nieces, nephews and other family members
She was preceded in death by her parents J.W. Barber and Dora Turnage Barber and recently by her brother William “Pete” Barber.
Visitation will be at Crain Funeral Home Tuesday August 6th from 10:00 am until 2:00 pm. A funeral service will be held in the funeral home chapel at 2:00 pm Tuesday with Rev. Don McDaniel officiating. Burial will follow in the Magee Cemetery at Lawrence Creek.
