Julius Walter Tynes, age 54 and a resideent of Bogalusa, passed away Friday, August 2, 2019 at the home of his brother and sister in law, Otha and Gina Tynes in Rogers, Arkansas. He was born July 19, 1965 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to Irene Tynes and Gussie Tynes.
He attended Bogalusa High School where he was a defensive tackle on the Lumberjack Football Team.
Julius’s true passion was his precious family. He put others before himself and loved unconditionally. He had a deep faith in God. Julius was a member of Crossroads United Pentecostal Church.
Julius is survived by two sisters, Romona Rogers and Katie Tynes; three brothers, Gussie Tynes and wife, Margie Tynes, Country Tynes and wife, Victoria Tynes, and Otha Tynes and wife, Gina Tynes of Rogers, Arkansas.
He was preceded in death by his parents, brother in law, Jackie Ray Rogers, and two nephews, Christopher Scott Tynes and James Matthew Rogers.
Funeral Services will be held in the chapel of Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA. A visitation will be held at the funeral home on Tuesday, August 6, 2019 from 5:00 P.M. until 9:00 P.M. and will continue on Wednesday, August 7, 2019 from 8:00 A.M. until the funeral service begins at 1:00 P.M. with Rev. Gussie Tynes officiating. Interment will follow in Pounds Cemetery, Bogalusa, LA
