Melyndia Rena Bruns, a resident of Colorado Springs, CO. and former resident of Bogalusa, departed this life Sunday, August 4, 2019 at St. Francis Medical Center in Colorado Springs, CO. at the age of 57.
She leaves to cherish her memories, her father, Donald Ray Bruns, Sr., Shreveport, LA; one daughter, Okiciyapi Bruns Bonseigneur; three sons, Rhoshykee Bruns (Katie), Odakonya Bruns all of Colorado Springs, CO and Lfetayo Bruns of Guantanamo Bay, Cuba; four brothers, Donald Bruns, Jr., Larry Bruns, & Kekouya Jackson, of Odessa, TX, Brian Jackson, (Patrice) of Bogalusa, LA; two sisters, Chequitah Bruns, Bogalusa, LA and Monique Bruns, Shreveport, LA; ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, four aunts, five uncles and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
She was proceeded in death by her mother, Mary Fox Bruns.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 16th from 2:00 pm – 6:00 pm. Family hour will begin at 6:00 PM – 7:00PM at the Crain & Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa, LA.
Funeral service will be Saturday, August 17, 2019, at 12:00 pm at St. Paul A.M.E Church with Elder R.L. Palmer - Pastor, Rev. Joe E. Conley, (Mansfield, TX) – Officiating. Interment will be at the Bogalusa Cemetery.
Crain and Sons Funeral Home in Bogalusa are in charge of arrangements.
