Obituary

Gene Lionell Magee
September 15, 1955 - June 28, 2019

Gene Lionell Magee affectionately known as “Lionell” was born to Gene Paul and Emma Jean Magee on September 15, 1955, in Bogalusa, LA.  The Angel of God called him from earthly labor unto eternal rest on June 28, 2019. Lionell accepted the Lord as his personal savior at an early age and became a member of Bethel Church of Christ Holiness in Franklinton, LA.

Those that knew him personally knew he wasn’t a talker. He was a man of few words. He LOVED watching football, basketball, and wrestling.  He would be watching two games at a time in his Man Cave. His favorite team was Kansas City “Chiefs” and New Orleans “Saint”

He was a devoted son, always assisting in the needs of his mother, brothers, and sister. Lionell leaves to cherish his memories a loving mother, Emma Jean Magee of Franklinton, LA; two brothers, Johnny (Donell) and Paul(Mann); one sister, Sharon(Monk) Magee Poole (Andrew) all from Franklinton, LA;  one son, Gene Lionell Magee, Jr., of Orlando, FL, two daughters, Jeanette of Seattle, WA.; and a host uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and co-workers.

Lionell was preceded in death by his father, Gene Paul Magee, and sister, Paulette Magee.

Visitation will be Saturday, July 13, 2019 from 9:00AM - 11:00AM followed by funeral service at 11:00AM at Bethel Church of Christ Holiness USA with Pastor Alvin Partman, Sr. - Pastor Officiating. Interment will be held at Bethel Church Cemetery.
