Ellen Marie Black Knight passed away on Friday, July 19, 2019 in Gonzales, La at the age of 96. She was born in Bogalusa, LA on February 25, 1923.
Those left behind to cherish her memory include her children, Ralph "Bubba" (Jane) Knight of Slidell, LA, Metta Harper of Prairieville, LA, Nancy (Greg) Montagnino of Baton Rouge, LA, and Andy (Jean) Knight of Mandeville, LA; her grandchildren, Alan (Regina) Knight, Stacey Knight, Chris Virusky, Larry “Kip” (Beatriz) Adcox, Chris (Nicole) Adcox, Andy (Leah) Montagnino, Cassie (Nick) Dinecola, Trent (Courtney) Knight, Jeff (Necole) Singley, Chris (Shannon) Singley; great grandchildren, Jamie Knight, Dylan Knight, Joshua Blymiller, Ryan Blymiller, Taylor Virusky, Hadley Virusky, Brittany Adcox, Landen Adcox, Drew Adcox, Ellen Adcox, Olive Dinecola, Desi Dinecola, Joe Montagnino, Rylee Singley, Marley Singley, Georgia Johnson, Savanna Singley, and Andre Singley.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Clarence and Leontine Black; her sister, Margerat Black Simmons; and two brothers, Buddy Black and Joe Black.
Mrs. Knight’s arrangements have been entrusted to Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home & Crematory in Bogalusa, LA. Services will be held at Annunciation Catholic Church on Monday, July 22, 2019. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. to 10:15 a.m. at which time a eulogy will begin, with funeral mass beginning at 11:00 a.m. Rev. Father Daniel Brouillette will officiate. Interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa, LA.
